A chat with the driver

Some of Mark's favorite drivers to watch while growing up around the dirt tracks in the Tri-State area include Chuck McWilliams, Billy Teegarden, Floyd Gilbert, Pat Patrick and most importantly "Black Jack" Boggs. Mark says he was greatly influenced by Chuck McWilliams. "I loved watching Chuck race", Mark said. "He was always exciting to watch." Mark says that Dan Schlieper reminds him a lot of how Chuck used to race. That would explain why Schlieper is presently Mark's favorite driven to watch.

A:  9 yrs, this year will be my 6th year in a late model.
Q:  Which driver influenced you the most?
A:  Chuck McWilliams
Q:  Who is your favorite driver?
A:  Dan Schlieper
Q:  What is your biggest racing achievment?
A:  Being asked to drive a late model for someone.
Q:  What would be your car of choice?
A:  Rayburn chassis w/ Pro Power engine.
Q:  One racing goal?
A:  To win a season points championship.
Q:  What is your favorite track to race at?
A:  Lawrenceburg Speedway
Q:  What tracks have you raced at?
A:   Brown County, Brushcreek, Lawrenceburg, K-C, Mudlick, Jackson County, Thunder Mountain, Goddard and Southern Ohio.
